Terms of Service

Developer: Technext (“we”, “us”, “our”)

Please read these Terms of Service (“Terms”) carefully before using the App. By downloading, installing, or using the App you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. The Service

The App is a document reader and PDF toolkit for Android. It lets you open and read documents (PDF, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, text, and other supported formats), listen to PDFs with text-to-speech, and edit, merge, split, sign, convert, lock, and scan PDF files. The free version is supported by advertising; an optional Premium subscription removes ads and unlocks additional features.

2. License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for your personal or internal business purposes on Android devices that you own or control, in accordance with these Terms and Google Play’s terms.

3. Your Content

Documents you open or create with the App remain yours. The App processes your files on your device, and we claim no ownership of, and have no access to, your documents. You are solely responsible for your files, for maintaining backups of them, and for making sure you have the right to use and modify any document you process with the App.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • use the App for any unlawful purpose, including processing documents you have no right to use, forging signatures, or creating fraudulent documents;
  • copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, reverse engineer, or attempt to extract the source code of the App, except where permitted by law;
  • interfere with or disrupt the App, its advertising, or the services it relies on;
  • use the App in a way that violates Google Play policies or any applicable law.

5. Premium Subscription and Billing

  • Premium is an auto-renewing subscription purchased through Google Play. Payment is charged to your Google Play account at confirmation of purchase.
  • Your subscription renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can cancel anytime in Google Play → Subscriptions; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
  • Prices may change; any change applies from the next billing period after notice through Google Play.
  • Refunds are handled according to Google Play’s refund policies.
  • Uninstalling the App does not cancel your subscription.

6. Advertising and Third-Party Services

The free version displays advertising served by third parties (such as Google AdMob). We do not control the content of third-party advertisements, and clicking an ad may take you to external sites governed by their own terms and privacy policies. The App also relies on Google services described in our Privacy Policy.

7. Document Lock (PIN) Responsibility

If you protect a document with a PIN, the PIN is stored only on your device. We cannot recover, reset, or bypass a lost PIN. You are responsible for remembering your PIN; losing it may mean losing access to the locked document within the App.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy of document rendering or conversion, or uninterrupted, error-free operation. Text-to-speech output and document conversions may contain errors; always verify important documents before relying on them.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Technext shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, documents, profits, or business, arising from or related to your use of (or inability to use) the App, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. In any case, our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us (if any) in the twelve months preceding the claim.

10. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or terminate your access to the App or any feature if you breach these Terms or where required by law. Sections 3, 8, 9, and 12 survive termination.

11. Changes to the App and to These Terms

We may add, change, or remove features (including moving features between the free and Premium tiers) at any time. We may update these Terms from time to time; updates will be posted on this page with a new effective date, and continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Nothing in these Terms limits any mandatory consumer rights you have under the laws of your country of residence.
